My heart will always be in Hawaii!!
At the end of May 2008, I took the trip of a lifetime--Maui, Hawaii!! I spent a week on the island with an old girl friend from high school, spending most of our days relaxing in beach chairs & drinking Mai Tais! We did explore the town of Lahaina a little bit, but the highlight of the trip was taking a helicopter tour of the entire Island. The majority of Maui island is only accessible by helicopter, so if you go, you MUST plan on doing this. Also, make sure you rent a car & take a couple days to go to Hana--that's one thing we wish we had done. The other highlight was flying First Class--whoa!!!! I don't know if I'll ever be happy in Coach again LOL

Christmas in the Cottonwood
November 30, 2008....Christmas with the Gehrkes from Wisconsin!
John & I spent November 29 & 30 at the Cottonwood Cabin up Dry Creek (Old Mill Log Cabins) with my best friend, Kelly Jo, and her children, Katie & Keri, and her wonderful husband of two years, Jim. We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas together inside a beautiful cabin, next to a warm fireplace, with light snow falling outside. After the exchange of gifts, we all enjoyed a couple of hours in the hot tub gazebo. We love & miss you guys!
